Separators
The separators are little rubber bands that slide down between your teeth like dental floss. Their purpose is to make space so it is easier to put your braces on at your next appointment. They might bother you a little tonight or tomorrow because you are not used to having anything between your teeth. If they do, just take some Advil or Tylenol.
Also, you need to make sure you do not eat anything sticky or chewy like gum, caramel, or taffy. These types of foods can pull the separators out. Please do not floss or pick them out. If the separators come out on their own, just throw them away. This means that you have enough space for us to place your braces.
